Carlos Sainz Sr., father of F1 driver Carlos Sainz Jr., has announced he will not run for the presidency of the FIA, the governing body for auto racing. After months of considering the role, he decided the current circumstances are not ideal. He was the only opposition to the current president, Mohammed Ben Sulayem, in the December election.
