💨 Abstract
In Seattle, a 6'-700-lb. bronze statue of Lenny Wilkens, celebrating his career as a NBA player and coach, was unveiled outside the Climate Pledge Arena. Wilkens is the first to have a statue at this location, with Sue Bird's statue to be unveiled this summer. Wilkens led the Sonics to the 1979 NBA title and is the third-winningest coach in NBA history. Key personalities and teammates attended the event.
