💨 Abstract
Nina Kuscsik, a champion of women's long-distance running, has passed away at the age of 86. Krascik, died June 8 2025 after a prolonged struggle with Alzheimer’s disease. She won the 1972 Boston Marathon, the first year women were officially allowed to compete and became a trailblazer in advocating for their inclusion in the sport.
