💨 Abstract
The Boston Red Sox traded Rafael Devers, a 28-year-old three-time All-Star and one of baseball’s top hitters, to the San Francisco Giants on Sunday. In exchange, the Red Sox received Jordan Hicks and Kyle Harrison. Devers' contract dispute and reluctance to switch positions reportedly strained his relationship with the Red Sox. He batted .272 with 15 home runs and 58 RBIs this season.
