An 18-year-old James Hagens from Long Island was thrilled to be chosen 7th overall by the Boston Bruins in the 2025 NHL draft, even though his dream of playing for the New York Islanders didn't come true. Hagens, a Boston College center, was excited to stay local and was even more excited to have Adam Sandler announce his draft pick. He celebrated his favorite movie, “Happy Gilmore.”
