💨 Abstract
Germany's captain Giulia Gwinn left the Women’s European Championship opener against Poland in the first half due to an injury. After receiving treatment for a hard tackle, Gwinn initially tried to continue but eventually had to be substituted by Carlotta Wamser. The match was scoreless at that point. This incident adds to the challenges facing the defending champions in their opening match.
