The Minnesota Twins defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-1 on Friday night. Trevor Larnach's two-run homer was the key hit, and Joe Ryan pitched effectively, allowing one run in five innings. Paul Skenes, despite striking out 300 batters in his career, took the loss for the Pirates, who have now lost seven straight games. The Twins' Jhoan Duran secured the save. Carlos Correa was injured during the game.
