💨 Abstract
In a close game, the San Diego Padres defeated the Miami Marlins 2-1. Jackson Merrill and Martín Maldonado drove in runs in the second inning. Miami’s Kyle Stowers hit a solo home run in the fourth. Randy Vásquez pitched 4 1/3 innings for San Diego, and Robert Suarez got his 29th save. The Padres rallied to win a close game, their seventh within two runs in their last 10 games.
