On July 9, 2025, Salvador Perez homered twice, and Jac Caglianone hit the longest measured homer by a Royals rookie, as Kansas City defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 4-3, completing a three-game sweep. Perez hit a 444-foot homer in the second inning and a game-winning shot in the eighth.
