💨 Abstract
In July 2025, the Chicago Sky, an WNBA team, partnered with Moonshot Technologies to protect its players from online threats. This initiative, the first of its kind in the league, uses counter-terrorism technology to monitor social media and flag direct threats. Human assessors then review these posts, ensuring player safety and addressing the increasing online harassment faced by women athletes.
