The article describes an incident where Chicago White Sox second baseman Chase Meidroth was hit by a pitch. Meidroth was struck by an 89.6 mph sinker from Taijuan Walker in the fifth inning of a game against the Philadelphia. Although he completed the inning, he was replaced in the sixth. X-rays showed no significant injuries, and Meidroth's status is listed as day-to-day.
