💨 Abstract
Yankees manager Aaron Boone reviewed a video of Luis Gil's second rehab start and was pleased with the right-handed pitcher's performance. Gil threw 3 1/3 innings, striking out seven and allowing two runs. His fastball velocity has been strong, and his rehab progress is on track for a potential 2025 debut with the Yankees. Gil, who was last year’s AL Rookie of the Year, has been recovering from a strained lat injury since spring training.
