💨 Abstract
Chicago Cubs catcher Miguel Amaya, 26, was taken off the field during Wednesday's game against Toronto after twisting his left ankle while stepping on first base during the 8th inning. He had recently returned from a previous left oblique strain that sidelined him for over two months. Amaya had been performing well, with a .280 batting average, four home runs, and 25 RBIs. Reese McGuire came on as a substitute.
