The Chicago Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) appointed Martin Sjögren, former coach of Norway's women's national team, as their new head coach starting in the 2026 season. Sjögren praised the NWSL’s competitiveness and growth in women's soccer. He succeeds Lorne Donaldson, who was fired after a poor start to the season.
