💨 Abstract

The Cleveland Guardians called up right-hander Carlos Hernández and first baseman/outfielder C.J. Kayfus from Triple-A before a game against the Minnesota Twins. Tim Herrin and Johnathan Rodríguez were sent down to make room. Kayfus, a third-round 2003 draft pick, made his major league debut. He had a solid season in the minors, batting .283 with 13 home runs.
