On August 12, 2025, Mondo Duplantis set a new pole vault world record at the Istvan Gyulai Memorial meet in Budapest, clearing 6.29 meters. This record, the 13th of his career, improved his previous mark set in June by one centimeter. The 25-year-old Swede, who is the reigning Olympic and world champion, successfully cleared the height on his second attempt.
