In the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, Australian allrounder Cameron Green was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for $2.7 million, setting a new record for the most expensive overseas player. This surpasses the previous record set for Mitchell Starc. Green, currently playing in the Ashes series, joins Kolkata for his third IPL season.
