💨 Abstract

The ATP Tour is introducing a new rule for the next season to address extreme heat during men's tennis matches. Players can request a 10-minute break if the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) reaches 30.1°C (86.2°F) in the first two sets of a best-of-three match. Matches will be halted if the WBGT exceeds 32.2°C (90°F).
