💨 Abstract

The Vera Rubin Observatory (VRO), named after astronomer Vera C. Rubin, unveils its first images. Located in Chile, the VRO features the world's largest digital camera with 3,200 megapixels and can image the entire sky in just three to four nights. Its primary mission is a 10-year study called the "Legacy Survey of Space and Time" to capture nightly changes in the sky.
