💨 Abstract
Two leaders of a woman's wellness company, Nicole Daedone and Rachel Cherwitz, were convicted of forced labor conspiracy after a Brooklyn jury found that OneTaste Inc. used economic, sexual, and psychological abuse. The company, which started around 2005, promoted "orgasmic meditation" and had worldwide outposts that portrayed a positive image. Prosecutors said they manipulated members into sexual acts for the company's benefit and did not pay promised earnings.
