💨 Abstract
A rare, 54-pound Martian meteorite, the largest ever found, is up for auction in New York with an estimated price of $2–4 million. This unique rock, identified as NWA 16788, was discovered in Niger in 2023 and confirmed to have a distinct chemical composition matching Martian meteorites from the 1976 Viking space probe.
