💨 Abstract

Recently, in Lima, Peru, utility workers expanding the underground gas network discovered two ancient tombs. One was empty, while the other contained a 1,000-year-old human skeleton, four pottery vessels, and three pumpkin shells. Archaeologist José Aliaga identified the items as belonging to the pre-Incan Chancay culture, dating back 1,000 to 1,470 years. The remains were found in a seated, fetal position.
