The St. Louis Cardinals won their seventh consecutive game on Saturday with a 4-2 victory over the Washington Nationals. Pitcher Andre Pallante had a strong outing, going into the eighth inning with a shutout before Dylan Crews hit a two-run homer. All of St. Louis' runs came in the second inning. Trevor Williams took the loss for Washington, allowing four runs in six innings. Ryan Helsley secured the save for the Cardinals despite a shaky ninth inning.
