💨 Abstract
The Chicago Cubs acquired veteran starting pitcher Michael Soroka from the Washington Nationals. The Cubs sent infielder Ronny Cruz and outfielder Christian Franklin to Washington. Soroka, an All-Star in 2019, has struggled with injuries but brings depth to the Cubs' rotation. Soroka is 3-8 with a 4.87 ERA this season. The Cubs remain one game behind the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central.
