The Washington Nationals defeated the San Diego Padres 4-2 to end a five-game losing streak. Nathaniel Lowe hit a homer, and Mitchell Parker secured his first home win since May. The Nationals scored early with a two-run hit by Drew Millas, and added to their lead in the fifth. Despite a threat from San Diego in the eighth, Washington's relievers held on for the win.
