💨 Abstract
Manny Machado's grand slam in the ninth inning helped the San Diego Padres defeat the Washington Nationals 7-2. Jake Cronenworth and Jose Iglesias set the stage with hits, and Elias Díaz's squeeze play tied the game before Machado's homer secured the victory. The Nationals' CJ Abrams had tied the game earlier with a two-run homer. The Padres' Dylan Cease pitched effectively, allowing just four singles and striking out 10.
