Miles Mikolas pitched effectively for the St. Louis Cardinals, allowing just two hits through six innings, as they defeated the Washington Nationals 8-1. Willson Contreras and Alec Burleson contributed key offensive plays, with Contreras hitting a home run. The Cardinals improved to 50-44, securing the season series against the Nationals for the first time since 2021.
