đ¨ Abstract
The D.C. region faces severe weather risks due to heightened heat and humidity on Friday. The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 10 p.m., warning of damaging winds up to 70 mph and large hail. Severe weather has already struck western Maryland, with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected. The risk of showers and storms continues into Saturday morning, with improving conditions later. Sunday and Monday will bring mostly sunny, less humid weather.
