💨 Abstract
Bangladesh's Election Commission has canceled the registration of the Awami League, the former ruling party of ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, blocking it from the next national election. This decision follows a ban imposed by the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus, prohibiting the party's activities online and elsewhere under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The government has criminalized supporting the party online and accused it of killing protesters during anti-Hasina demonstrations.
