💨 Abstract
A 53-year-old man, Paul Doyle, appeared in court for allegedly driving into a crowd of Liverpool soccer fans celebrating their team's championship. Doyle faces multiple charges, including dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm, with a maximum sentence of life in prison. The incident injured 79 people, including four adults and two children who were seriously hurt. Police suspect Doyle acted alone and do not believe the act was terrorism-related.
