💨 Abstract
A federal judge criticized the Trump administration for creating chaos in a case involving the deportation of migrants to South Sudan. Judge Brian Murphy accused the administration of evading clarity and suggested they were manufacturing confusion. The case involves eight immigrants who were suddenly sent to South Sudan without adequate opportunity to contest their deportation. Murphy noted that the process gave migrants minimal time to contact family or attorneys and that the switch to South Sudan was unexpected, following initial plans to send them to South Africa.
