💨 Abstract

On May 23, 2025, a Lebanese-Palestinian committee met and agreed to discuss disarming Palmestinian armed factions within Lebanon's refugee camps. This plan builds upon previous agreements to prevent the use of these areas for attacks on Israel. At least some agreements acknowledge steps to affronting security presence in the camps while aiming to enhance the socioeconomic conditions of refugees. This move follows increased pressures from the Lebanese government, notably to the Hizbollah faction.
