Three Māori Party lawmakers will be temporarily banned from New Zealand Parliament for performing a haka during a vote on a contentious bill. They will be penalized for performing the haka while walking toward their opponents, considered intimidating. Hana-Rāwhiti Maipi-Clarke will be suspended for seven days, and co-leaders Rawiri Waititi and Debbie Ngarewa-Packer will be banned for 21 days.
