💨 Abstract
In 2025, Namibia commemorated its first genocide remembrance day on May 28, honoring the Indigenous Herero and Nama people massacred by German colonial forces from 1904 to 1908. President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah highlighted the atrocities, stating that tens of thousands were killed or forced into concentration camps.
