💨 Abstract

Human rights organizations have filed a lawsuit with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights to demand the release of over 200 Venezuelan immigrants. These individuals were deported from the U.S. to El Salvador in March 2025, alleging ties to the Tren de Aragua gang. They have been held in a maximum-security prison in El Salvador without access to lawyers or family contact. The lawsuit seeks measures to allow communication, legal access, and potential return to the U.S.
