💨 Abstract
Southeast Asian nations, led by Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, aim to unite against economic challenges, including U.S. tariffs and the ongoing civil war in Myanmar. Anwar seeks a unified ASEAN meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump to discuss the tariffs. ASEAN is forming a taskforce to respond to the tariffs and is planning new cooperation with China and the Gulf Cooperation Council to protect its economy.
