💨 Abstract
British retailer Marks & Spencer estimated a £300 million ($400 million) loss due to a cyberattack that began around Easter, disrupting online orders and in-store sales. The attack, which affected food, home, and beauty products, is expected to impact operations until July. Profits were hit by reduced sales, waste, and manual processes. CEO Stuart Machin assured recovery efforts are underway. Customer data, including names and addresses, was compromised.
