💨 Abstract
Colombian Senator Miguel Uribe Turbay, a potential presidential candidate, was shot and wounded during a campaign rally in Bogota. The attack occurred in the Fontibon neighborhood, with images showing Uribe Turbay injured and receiving assistance. While the suspected shooter was apprehended they still do not have an update on the senator's condition. Uribe Turbay is the son of a journalist killed during Colombia’s drug war and his conservative Democratic Center party condemned the violence.
