💨 Abstract
A tropical depression formed in the Bay of Campeche, off Mexico’s southeast coast, and is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm. Located about 130 miles east of Veracruz, it has maximum sustained winds of 30 mph and is moving west-northwest at 7 mph. A tropical storm warning has been issued, with landfall expected in Mexico on Sunday night. Heavy rains are forecast for parts of Guatemala and southeast Mexico.
