💨 Abstract

A 5.6 magnitude earthquake struck Peru’s central coast, affecting Lima and Callao. One person died, and five were injured. The earthquake caused damage to roads, educational centers, and buildings. President Dina Boluarte is monitoring the situation. The quake disrupted a football match and a mass at Lima’s cathedral. Peru is located along the Ring of Fire, an area prone to seismic activity.
