💨 Abstract

At least 100 people were killed in a gun attack on the village of Yelewata in Nigeria's Benue state. The incident occurred between late Friday and early Saturday. Amnesty International reported many families were burned inside their homes, with dozens missing and hundreds injured. Local police confirmed the attack but didn't specify the death toll. Such violence is common in Nigeria's northern region, often involving clashes between farmers and herders over land and water access.
