💨 Abstract
The death toll from floods in South Africa's Eastern Cape province has risen to 101, with two children still missing. Heavy rain on June 9-10 caused severe flooding, destroying homes and infrastructure, and leaving over 4,000 people homeless. The government declared a state of national disaster, seeking $288 million for relief. President Cyril Ramaphosa attributed the floods to climate change.
