💨 Abstract
Dominican prosecutors have requested a five-year prison sentence for suspended Tampa Bay Rays player Wander Franco, who is accused of sexual abuse involving a 14-year-old girl. They also seek a ten years sentence for the minor's mother, alleging she participated in sexual trafficking. Prosecutors claim Franco had a four-month relationship with the minor and transferred money to her mother. Franco, who had a major contract, is currently on MLB's restricted list.
