💨 Abstract
On June 12, the Dutch Labor Party and the Green Left party agreed to merge into a single entity, Groen Links-PvdA, ahead of the October 29 general election. The merger aims to counter the rise of right-wing populism and strengthen their position against Geert Wilders' Party for Freedom. Frans Timmermans, former European Commission climate chief, leads the Labor Party's parliamentary faction.
