💨 Abstract
In Nairobi, Kenya, protests over the custody death of blogger Albert Ojwang turned violent, with police shooting Boniface Kariuki, a 22-year-old civilian, in the head. Kariuki's father and activists demand accountability and prosecution of the officer involved. The protests also call for the arrest of police deputy inspector general Eliud Langat, who filed a defamation complaint against Ojwang. The judiciary and U.K. embassy have urged transparent investigations into police actions.
