💨 Abstract
Gjert Ingebrigtsen, father of Norwegian athlete Jakob Ingebrigtsen, was convicted of assaulting his daughter and received a suspended prison sentence. The court acquitted him of abusing Jakob, who is a renowned middle-distance champion. Allegations against Gjert included years of domestic abuse toward both children. The court found no evidence of a continuous pattern of fear. Gjert hopes to reconcile with his family.
