💨 Abstract
Mali's leading political activist, Alassane Abba, was released after a month in captivity. Abba, a former Codem party leader, was abducted by military authorities after criticizing the junta's crackdown on civic rights and failure to hold elections. His family believes intelligence services were involved, though no authority has confirmed this.
