💨 Abstract
Mexican state police killed four gunmen near the Guatemala border, then pursued more suspects into Guatemala, resulting in a shootout. The incident involved three armored police vehicles and was captured on video. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum acknowledged the border crossing and ordered an investigation. The violence is part of ongoing conflicts between rival drug cartels for control of smuggling routes. Guatemala is also investigating the incident.
