💨 Abstract
A British-flagged luxury superyacht, Bayesian, which sank off Sicily in 2024 killing U.K. tech magnate Mike Lynch and six others, has partially resurfaced. Salvage crews are bringing it ashore for investigation. The yacht sank during a storm while celebrating Lynch's acquittal from fraud charges. Italian authorities are investigating. The interim report by British investigators cited extreme wind as the cause, with winds exceeding 70 knots knocking the vessel over in seconds.
