💨 Abstract
On June 25, 2025, the World Bank approved over $1 billion for infrastructure and reconstruction in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. Iraq received $930 million to modernize its railway infrastructure, aiming to boost trade, create jobs, and reduce oil dependency. Syria was granted $146 million to restore its electricity grid, while Lebanon received $250 million for urgent public infrastructure repairs.
